The Counterrevolutionary and Royal Army of America
The CRAA is an aide to total consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary in a similar spirit to the Militia Immaculata of St. Maximilian Kolbe. The CRAA is my personal response to being consecrated to the Immaculata in the MI. The CRAA itself has no affiliation with the MI. ~ Walter Adams, Founder of the CRAA
A consecrated, royalist spiritual army seeking the reign of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in our own hearts, the hearts of our fellow man, and the restoration of Christendom through the Catholic Monarchy.

CatholicMonarchy.net will serve as the blog supporting CatholicMonarchy.com. Look for much more on Net as I build that blog to deal specifically with the counterrevolution and the Monarchy. Changes to both sites will occur over time as I adapt both platforms for optimal service to Our Lady and the Monarchy!

"But, true justice is not to be found save in that commonwealth, if we may so call it, whose Founder and Ruler is Jesus Christ - for, no one can deny that this is the weal of the people. This name, with its varied meanings, is perhaps not quite in tune with our language, but this at least is certain: True justice reigns in that state of which Holy Scripture says, 'Glorious things are said of thee, O City of God.' (Ps 86:3)."

~ Saint Augustine, City of God, early 5th century

 Welcome!

CatholicMonarchy.com is the home site of The Counterrevolutionary and Royal Army of America (formerly the "Catholic and Royal Army of America"). The CRAA is a contemplative based initiative dedicated to the reign of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the friendship and sisterly care of Ste. Jehanne d'Arc and Ste. Thérèse de l'Enfant Jésus. Under the influence of Ste. Jehanne and Ste. Thérèse, the CRAA uses the Traditional French Catholic experience as both an inspiration and a pedagogy in the faith and the counterrevolution needed to restore the Church and Western Civilization. In fulfilling her mission, the CRAA seeks to inspire souls with a Catholic worldview in order to inculcate a counterrevolutionary spirit that will aid them in persevering in sanctifying grace and, through their consequent influence in the world, affect a restoration of Christendom in social, cultural, and political affairs.

Through conversion, repentance, prayer, and penance under the sisterly and saintly patronage of Ste. Jehanne d'Arc and Ste. Thérèse de Lisieux,  the CRAA seeks the reign of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in all hearts and through those hearts, the establishment of a Catholic Monarchy in the United States and the restoration of all Catholic Monarchies around the world, notably, the Kingdom of Catholic France. CRAA associations are intended primarily to be centers of contemplative-based action in total consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary and through the combined spirituality and spiritual gifts of Ste. Jehanne d'Arc and Ste. Thérèse de l'Enfant Jésus.

                                                                                   Situational Assessment

The current situation in both the Church and Society is beyond human aid and hope. The Church, while a magnificently beautiful Kingdom in her Form, is in her militant state filled with the spiritual malignancy of modernism. It is no exaggeration to say that most Catholics in the United States do not know that they have been Protestantized into heresy. Furthermore, society in general has no understanding of the source of its increasingly overwhelming oppression, which is the acceptance of the Masonic dogma of Separation of Church and State, a secular dogma designed expressly to de-throne Jesus Christ as King of Kings.

Only Jesus Christ can free and heal us. The Catholic Church is His sole source of freeing and saving grace (yes, even in the Vatican II era - read CCC 819 carefully in union with CCC 846 - we are not "the same as" or "equal partners" with Protestants and Orthodox).

If we are to be saved from our otherwise hopeless condition, we must begin with formally and authoritatively recognizing, honoring, and re-establishing the Social Kingship of Christ. Though this can be done in a representative, democratic, constitutionally-based republic (re: Leo XIII, source needed), we must, in these desperate times, seek the governmental form most suited for this cause and which most facilitates its realization. That Form is the Catholic Monarchy.

The transformation from the Republic to the Monarchy must be wrought through peaceful change brought about through the free acts of converted people. St. Thomas Aquinas warns of the undesirability of disrupting the common good, even if one is implementing a superior system of governance (source needed). Therefore we must seek the Catholic Monarchy peacefully and only within the bounds of solid Catholic doctrine.

With all of the above in mind, we must first and foremost seek our own growth in sanctifying grace as the precondition for any collective efforts of the CRAA. We must first be converted ourselves, then seek to convert others. In ever growing societies of converted people, we will surely succeed through the grace of God in our cultural and political objectives. This is why the CRAA Mission statement below is phrased the way it is. We are about the Kingdom of God "on earth as it is in Heaven," not about a "kingdom of this world."

                                                                                            An army?

Despite the ferocity of the name, we seek first and foremost the conversion of souls to Jesus Christ through a repentant, dogmatic confession of Catholic Faith. We then seek to aid souls in persevering and growing in sanctifying grace through total consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary in the friendship and sisterly care of Ste. Jehanne and Ste. Thérèse. The Church is the seed of the Kingdom of God on earth and was institutionalized personally by Jesus in the course of human events for the salvation of souls through the infinite merits of His redemptive incarnation, life, passion, crucifixion, and resurrection. The Virgin Mary is the Mediatrix of all graces stemming from Christ's infinite merits. There is no other source of salvation for the human race than Christ and Christ through His own institutional Church. Thus, the free act of conversion is our primary objective and from there the transformation of culture and government in accord with the Will of God as expressed through His Church and through the Natural Law written on the hearts of all men and women, no matter their race, religion, creed, or nationality. Not all will accept
freely the Ark of Salvation in the Catholic Church, but all are called to live at peace with their neighbor through the Natural Law. Our aim is to affect peaceful change in the temporal social, cultural, and political order through the free acts of converted people living a life of sanctifying grace.

                                                                             The CRAA Mission Statement

"The mission of the Counterrevolutionary and Royal Army of America is to form a spiritual army
seeking the reign of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in all hearts and societies through the friendship and sisterly care of Ste. Jehanne d'Arc and Ste. Thérèse de l'Enfant Jésus.  In fulfilling her mission, the CRAA seeks to aid souls in persevering in sanctifying grace by inspiring in them, using the Traditional French Catholic experience as a guide, a contemplative counterrevolutionary Catholic worldview which will consequentially influence through them the restoration of Christendom in social, cultural, and political affairs.

The CRAA seeks peaceful change in the temporal realm through the free acts of converted people living a life of sanctifying grace."

The CRAA's Political and Cultural Goals:

  • The establishment of a Divine Right Catholic Monarchy in the United States which is the spiritual sister to a restored French Monarchy, the latter who alone reigns for all of the world as the “Eldest Daughter of the Church.”
  • The American Monarchy would be tied through blood to French nobility and would therefore receive an abundance of God’s graces through the latter’s divine predestination as protector and propagator of the Holy Catholic Church.
  • Together, the American and French Monarchies would restore Catholic civilization and allow for freedom of religion, speech, and association, while Catholicism is preeminent in setting cultural and political norms. The Monarchies would stand together as a powerful counterrevolutionary buttress against the prevailing anarchic, revolutionary storms of modernism and secular humanism. The Monarchies would restore the practical experience of private ownership of property, a renewed spirit of entrepreneurialism and free-enterprise, and lively local and state democratic self-determination framed in the Natural Law.

                                                                                       About our name

The name, Counterrevolutionary and Royal Army of America, is inspired by the Armée Catholique et Royale of the Vendée during the French Revolution. The Catholic and Royal Army defended their land, their King and Queen, and their Catholic Church in a counterrevolutionary uprising against the secular, atheistic république which sought to destroy the Church and all of Christian culture with it. Thus, our name is fierce but reflects no desire to form an army, other than an army of souls devoted to the love of God through Jesus Christ, His Most Holy Mother, and His Church, which is the Kingdom of God on earth.

As the name indicates, the CRAA is counterrevolutionary. The Revolution is the work of Satan to destroy the goodness of God's Divine Order. The Counterrevolution is the effort of the faithful to restore the Divine Order as revealed to us by God through His Son and by His Son through His Church for all ages. The Revolution promotes the rebellious freedom of man to follow his own unbridled passions and which leads only to the slavery of Adam. The Counterrevolution promotes obedience to the goodness and harmony of God's Divine Order which leads to true freedom, the establishment of God's Kingdom "on earth as it is in Heaven," and therefore to the true love of God between people on earth. The world does not need more "Revolution." The world needs Counterrevolution to restore the preeminence of the Will of Jesus Christ and His Church in the hearts of men and women, and through the hearts of men and women, to restore His preeminence in culture, government, and society at large. The CRAA understands the Catholic Monarchy to be the optimal temporal model of governance for protecting and promoting the preeminence of Jesus Christ's authentic influence in the world through His Church, for He is truly, and objectively speaking, The King of Kings.
